Talking Steering wheel re do

I got the easy part all done, now the hard part. Sanding it down and getting it to look and feel right.
This will be going in the ramp truck when I install the tilt column I got for it as well!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

How well what hold up, the plumber putty?

To be honest I don't know. This was my first time using it. I used 2 part body filler on the 67 SS Chevelle wheel I did a couple of years ago and it's fine.
This stuff is suppose to be even better so we will see.

What kind of putty did you use? Can you post a pic of the package? The only plumber's putty I've seen is like clay and doesn't harden. This stuff must be a different kind...

Always happy to learn something new.

This is a 2 part putty I found it at lowes.
This is what they say about it.

Fix-It™ Stick Epoxy Putty

Convenient multi-purpose sealing, patching and mending compound.
Steel-filled material, mixes in your hand and hardens in minutes.
May be drilled, tapped, filed, sanded, sealed and painted when hardened.
Non-toxic material contains no solvents and will not shrink.

Thanks,

I hope it turns out as good as my 67 wheel did.
