Fuel rail setup question

I'm in the process of getting parts gathered up in anticipation of the LS1 swap into my '70 K/5....

I created a rendering of the fuel feed set-up after looking at several pictures posted by members here....

My main question is...would it be necessary to add a schrader valve at the end...in order to purge trapped air from the rails....?

I do not have one on mine and it works fine.

You don't need to purge the air out of the rails, it will do that when the injectors open. If you didn't have a permanent gauge on the rail it would be handy for hooking a gauge up to it though.

When I did my LS swap with a BBK intake and aftermarket fuel rails I put a "t" in the fuel line feeding both rails on the back side of the fuel rails. Then kind of hid the fuel line behind the intake. I haven't done the Schrader valve or pressure gauge.

I considered that as well....it looks to be foolproof in just about any configuration...thanks to all who responded.

I thought about doing mine this way as well, have the crossover on the back, and nothing on the front

I personally like having both, but not necessary.

I liked that idea....I need a couple more fittings.....to complete it....sent the injectors for cleaning and flow testing....
