Did these models with a v8 have one of the exhaust manifolds dump straight down on passengers side ?

If memory serves: Yes.
Drivers side swings to the back due to column.

Re: 67-68 stock exhaust manafolds
All the ones I've seen, both sides point down at a 45 degree angle towards the back. Never seen any pickup manifolds that pointed straight down. My 67 Bel Air, one side was straight and other at an angle.
Straight down may work. have read many comments here about what does and doesn't work, some folks kinda anal, like they are the authority. I've seen ALL kinds of stock manifolds installed on V8's, they all obviously worked with appropriate exhaust pipes installed! |

All the 67-72 models I have worked on they curve back on both sides. The 4x4 models & TF trucks point straight down.
