Are my control arms bad?
I just dropped off my control arms at the sand blaster to get cleaned up. But before I go as far as powder coating them or painting them I was wondering if they are still good.
I know these pics aren't a lot to base it off of. But when I removed the control arm shafts, I found that the edges had been eaten into pretty bad. you can see in the first pic a ribbon of metal. all 4 of them had this to some degree. but this is the worst one. |

Re: Are my control arms bad?
I seem to remember that happening when I rebuild the front of my 65. I would think you can clean up those edges and use new shafts and caps.

Re: Are my control arms bad?
thanks. i have new caps and shafts. wasnt sure if that little bit of metal eaten away would cause the arms not to seat properly and be off or something.

Re: Are my control arms bad?
Look at my 61 build thread and you can see when I did mine. Hope it helps.
