Help with installation of 1965 driveshaft bearing - which way?

I am working on a 1965 C10 2WD with a two piece driveshaft. I just purchased a new bearing from LMC Trucks and it arrived with no instructions and an 'extra' small bushing?? The bearing can be removed from the rubber housing with a little work.

The rubber bearing has a sealed side "A" and an open side "B". Which is the proper way to press on this bearing (picture A or B)?

What is the use of the small bushing that came with this?

Searching previous posts did not provide the info I am looking for. Any help, as always, is sincerely appreciated.

Mark

I'll guess A is correct, and not sure on the bushing. Looking forward to the solution!
