Motor swap help...
So I have a little bit of a dilemma. I really want to do a motor swap in my 68 k20 burd but still very unsure what one would be best in the long run. If it had the original motor in it I would keep it as is but that's not the case. Cost, longevity, power and fuel efficiency and the costs and other changes associated with each swap are my considerations. My thoughts are 5.9 Cummins, 4bt cummins or a ls swap like a 5.3. I do a lot of of camping, hunting and want to be able too have a capable towing rig. And daily driver to haul the family around. I'd just much rather put the money back into this old girl rather than buying a new truck. Any information or experience would be greatly appreciated. I'm just getting really close to diving head first into this truck. And the gears in my head are spinning out of control with the possibilities. Just need a little help figuring things out.

Re: Motor swap help...
Thanks for the info. That was a lot of reading but i think i'm gunna go with a 5.9 cummins 12 valve and a six speed trans. Now just have to find a good 5.9 to buy!
