Door glass run channel

Can someone explain to me where the metal tab from the channel goes on the vent window frame when replacing the door glass run channel?

I'm replacing it on my 85 and have no clue. The old stuff is way far gone...

thanks.

This is one is a part 1 & part 2 from another place that did a video. I watched all of them and got tips from them.

Re: Door glass run channel

Thanks,
I've seen those but they don't explain where the metal tab goes on the vent window or how that area locks in place and i can't find anywhere on my vent window where the metal tab would lock into...

Re: Door glass run channel

The metal tab doesn't lock in any where on the vent assembly, it hooks on the top of the vent to prevent the glass run from sliding down when the glass is rolled down.

Take a look at the following images, they should help explain where the tab goes.
