Are you going to put them on your '71?! If so, I would be afraid of compressing the supension and having one of those tires eat my fender! I would choose a smaller tire (not sure what sizes the Baja Claws come in) don't they offer a 29 or a 30x9.50R15?! Just pulling that size out of my head.

I've seen guys run 31x10.50's on a stock height C10 before, but it was tight. On a C20 the 31's would proably fit OK, but i don't see much of a point in getting 33's.....the 33's would proably be a bit overkill since your truck is a 2wd, and they would proably rub on the sheetmetal and look kinda funky.

you don't really need baja claws for that kind of use, they are a little too aggressive for what you need. also, you won't get good wear out of them on the road. i would recommend bfg all terrains or similar.

judging from people I've talked to, you are better off with a narrower tire on a 2wd for getting around in the mud and snow. (I've never ran big tires on a 2wd, so I can't speak from experience)

I have a book that shows the max size tire with no lift for our year of trucks is a 31x10.5. Unless you have a lift thats ALL you will be able to put on there. I just got a set of Goodyears 265/75/15's and they look really good. But then again its not lifted yet(will be soon tho).

Check with Krue about running 33's on a 2WD.. That is what he has on his 2wd GMC Short step. Stock height and it definitely fills the wheel wells. I don't think he is rubbing, but it is not far from it.
