CPP "modular" drop spindle confusion

Hi all, I am looking at ordering a CPP disc brake conversion kit for my '66, and am looking at their "modular" spindles as they don't increase the track width from my stock drums. My confusion is with the amount of drop they actually give you. On the CPP website, it says the modular kits are a 2" drop, but when you click on the item to read the details, it says they are a 2.5" drop. Summit Racing also lists them as only a 2" drop. I called CPP, and they told me they are all a 2.5" drop, but for some reason I don't 100% trust them as I have read different things in different places.

So on to my question....has anyone here installed their modular drop spindles and can confirm it is indeed a 2.5" drop?

Thanks!

Yes it does drop 2.5 in. I installed their complete drop kit with large rotors and willwood calipers. It also included ball joints , tie rod ends and adjusters , wheel bearings and seals. Cost me about $800.00 off Ebay from CPP.
I also installed their stock front replacement springs and 3" rear lower springs. I love my stance on this truck.

You used the "modular" version of the spindles and NOT the "OE" version? What year truck? Thanks!

Re: CPP "modular" drop spindle confusion

nice truck! Can you confirm if you used their modular spindles or their OE spindles? I know the OE ones do drop 2.5", but I have mixed reports of the actual drop on the modular spindles....

Unless they changed something, all 3 sets of modular ones have been 2" drop.

Thanks Mike! That's why I am confused. CPP directly told me the modular spindles were also a 2.5" drop, but online everywhere it is listed as a 2" drop. Only the CPP website item detail page shows it as a 2.5" drop.

So you actually have installed 3 sets of these and all were 2" drop?

Re: CPP "modular" drop spindle confusion

On my invoice it is listed as 2.5 drop. can not confirm because I never measured original truck height before drop.
