Let's see your "out of the ordinary" fuel tanks.

Planning on having a visible tank in the box, looking for an inspiration.

OK. No picture yet, but my 69 had a tank put in the box by the previous owner. Really ugly, but practical. I don't have it hooked up now. Will try to remember to take a photo and post it.

I was looking underneath my 08 Mustang yesterday, as I get it ready to come out of winter hibernation, and I was thinking that the tank in that car, which straddles the driveshaft, could possibly be used in our trucks, but it would take some careful measuring to make sure. Just a thought.

I have no pics but i saw a truck with a pontiac Sunbird gas tank mounted inside his cross bed tool box. No one would know if they didn't see him filling up.

My bed courtesy of the previous owner. The vintage army footlocker currently houses the air ride stuff but could hide a good size fuel tank with the air ride relocated. Current fuel tank is the boat gas tank next to the foot locker with the 5 gallon jerry can to pour in for reserve, which definitely takes rat rod too far! Still can't believe I managed to get it inspected last year! Not a fan of fuel tanks in the bed, especially this setup and am currently working on a dual tank setup to go between the frame rails and driveshaft.

I have heard of someone using a beer keg. Just via word of mouth so I don't even know if that would be possible.

What would I be getting into if I wanted to use a container and add the fuel lines? Are there kits available for something like this??

They've been using beer kegs for fuel tanks as long as I can remember. I have nothing to offer. I think GM designed a great truck 50 years ago.
