last year we picked up an 80's chassis, as we are planning to change out the front cradle and make it front disc brakes and power steering

Being the picky person that I am, and my father who is not. I have decided to order some parts!
Last year, both inner fenders, both outer fenders, radiator support, battery tray, hood latch support Most recently order should be all in this week, grille support panel, both upper radiator support brace, chrome premium front bumper, front bumper brace, chrome grille with letters, chrome headlight bezel set, and all new bolts for the whole front end =) |

Nice looking Suburban. I noticed it has 4 sliders. Does it have all the seats?
Where was it built? |

Re: 66 Suburban project will begin this year
not sure where it was built, i'll get back to you on that.
it just has the two front seats, but i don't think they are original, I believe the previous owner took bucket seats out of a van, lol and also mounted an above center console from a van. I'll have to see if I have pictures. |

Re: 66 Suburban project will begin this year
The front sheetmetal doesn't look that bad, Personally I would rather repair whatever is wrong with the original sheetmetal than deal with the aftermarket parts which will need to be reworked anyway.

Don't want to hijack your post but just curious if anybody has put a complete 80's chassis under a Suburban?

With enough money, time and skill anything can be done. Will it be easy and straight forward, nope, not even close.

Right, plan is to just unbolt the front cradle from the chassis and swap.
