Dorman 620-101 vs Ford Taurus fan
I am planning on doing an electric fan conversion to my C10 when I put the new engine in it. My question is has anyone used the Dorman 620-101 electric fan on your C10. I have heard that the 90's Ford Taurus electric fans work great on lots of different hot rods to keep them cool. Its becoming harder to find them in junk yards or on ebay in good shape. This is a replacement for that fan so I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Dorman fan if its comparable to the older OEM fans.

Re: Dorman 620-101 vs Ford Taurus fan
being a stock replacement I'd assume it works just the same. My brother put a set of fans from an intrepid in his big block wagon street car and we've never had a problem with them, or the car getting hot.

Re: Dorman 620-101 vs Ford Taurus fan
Thanks for the feedback everyone. I have tried our local guys and ebay and they either look very worn out or non existent anymore or same price I can get a stock replacement. I'm going to check a few places out in the next week or so but if can't find anything decent I may just try the Dorman fan.
