Thumbs down Oops

Well i had an accident today came home to go get supplies for our new room and started up my 41 chevy ton-half and went to move the van and looked up and here came the 41 backwards I jumped out of the van and ran towards the 41 and got the door open but was afraid i wouldn't get it stopped in time so i let it go.Well it went down the drive way and over the hill probably a 20 ft drop and down and hit a tree the only thing it did was knock one of my boards loose on the bed WHEW if you could have only saw my face when it went out of site.Guess i need to adjust that emergency brake huh.

Wow....Luckily those forties trucks were built like tanks

I imagine that a runaway truck would be a bit nerve racking

i would have ran so fast --- well, i would have pulled a forest gump - and caught it instead of running away from it

It kind of reminds me of 15 years ago when I was making a delivery for my buddy in his 1977 F250 pickup. I put the truck in park and started to walk into the building, when I notice the truck decided to slip into gear. I don't think I have ever run so fast in my life. I caught it before it hit anything

My son did something like this a couple of years ago. He was driving a 95 Nissan on a hot summer day with the a/c on high. He stopped at a little convenence store and left the truck running. When he came out the truck was gone! He thought maybe one of his crazy buddies took the truck and hid it. Well it turned out that the truck rolled out of the parking lot, across a busy highway and hit a huge fork lift at a machine shop across the highway. Needless to say the Nissan was smashed pretty good but for some reason it didn't even scratch the fork lift. go figure.

Nephew had something like that happen.

He lost the bumper when it rolled down and sheared off a fire hydrant.....
