Question Bagged 60-66 Hood Hinge OPTIONS w/tubbed inners

Bagging the C10 (eventually) and probably cutting the front inner fenders for clearance.

Like the high dollar hinge kits, but would rather come up with a cost effective solution that utilizes the factory hinges without springs.

Has anyone done such a modification to include a gas strut for our hoods?

I tried searching and didn't see anything.

TIA

you might check out Jason Doshier's build Maggies truck. I believe he did a gas strut.

You could do something like Porterbuilt used to make. Uses the factory hinge and has provision for a strut on the tubular bar going to the front. I like it.

Nevermind....I see you were looking for tubbed inner fenders. Carry on!
