86 c10 swap

Need some help guys I have an 86 c10 v6 that runs on propane looking to tear that out and put a v8 I found out my motor has a ecm what's the best swap to put into it. Can I get rid of all the ecm stuff or put a carb 350

If I were you I would look into a Chevy erod swap. This is the easiest way to get around california's smog laws.

I'm not worried about California smog laws I have no concern for that just want to put a 350 into my truck. Does anyone know if I can swap a 350 tbi and matching ecm into my truck and run it with all the sensors and electronics ?

Newer motor will have more electronics. You can toss a crate engine from Summit in there and run a carb and hei if you want.

Tinydb84 how can I bypass my ecm and all the wires that hook up to all the sensors I have carb motor already from my last project there is wire loom full of wires that runs to the motor and splits to all the sensors. Please help as soon as I get all the right info I will do a detailed build thread and strip it down with plenty of pics

I just installed a TBI block 350 in my truck. I ran a summit brand intake manifold and a Edelbrock 600 carb. It runs great. If you have an ECM 350, than you probably don't have a fuel pump provision on the block. You will need a new pump pump for either direction you go. I am going to sell the carb and buy an FItech fuel injection kit for mine. You may want to look into that system for your swap.

Keystone germ I have a 350 that has fuel pump on the block and will be running a fuel cell getting rid of factory fuel tank my carb 350 is out of a 74 c10

Too easy, run a mechanical pump and a carb. If you want to use fuel injection use a power Commander from FItech for their throttle body set up, or if you want to retain the factory fuel injection, run an electric pump and you need to wire in the fuel injection you have.

So mechanical fuel pump and carb and in regards to the ECM wire and module how can I bypass all that. I am going to run carb for now want to get the v8 in for now and body work then paint and later will run the FItech

Pretend you don't have it. Take it off, buy a fuel pump, buy an intake manifold for the year of engine you have and install the carb. I can sell you the carb and fuel pump off of mine. It's an electric frame mounted fuel pump that doesn't require a regulator for the Edelbrock. Just throwing it out there. I am leaving country this weekend, so if you wanted it let me know. Understand that you are buying an intake manifold that is for a fuel injected SBC to run the carb. Edelbrock and summit both sell some that are cheap. I am thinking about $150.

Use your original stuff. Pretend you have an old motor. The only difference is you need an intake manifold that mates up to what ever heads you have and is for a carb.

The only sensors you need are for the gauges. You will need a power source from the oil pressure switch for the choke if you are running an electric one. If you aren't following g what I am trying g to explain. I think you need to find a car buddy to hang out with. This is going to be a challenge.

Keystonegerm I have plenty of car buddy's but they all pay for there stuff to be done. Some build there own cars but don't really build motors or have done motor swaps
