Question Power steering pump mounting bracket?

I recently acquired a complete power steering set up, to include the gearbox, hoses and pump, from a 71 C-10.
The one item I didn't get is the bracket that bolts the pump to the engine, and has the adjuster on it.
Is there a certain type of bracket I need?
The one I have on my truck is cast iron, but I've been unable to find another like it for this spare unit.
Can just get a bracket off another SBC to work correctly?
And will I need the '71 center link for the steering to work right, if I put it on a truck from 67-70? I can get it, so it's not a problem.

Re: Power steering pump mounting bracket?

Any thoughts? Should I post this in a different forum?

I would think it is the pitman arm that you need to change, but I'm not too familiar with these swaps as mine have had PS already.

I would wager that as long as you get the mounting bracket off a short water pump bracket set with factory PS it would work just dandy.

Thumbs up Re: Power steering pump mounting bracket?

The bracket is a two piece metal. One goes around the pump with bolt hole to mount it to the bottom of the engine. The second part mounts to the side of the engine on the motor mounts.
My old motor in the 71.

The two holes on bottom right are for the pump mount.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Center link not needed for power steering, just when going from drum to disc
