86 Chevy C10 1.000 Rotors vs 1.250

I'm changing my spindles from the ones that take 1.000 rotors to the ones that take 1.250 rotors. I know I have to change rotors, spindles, wheel bearings, calipers, and brake lines. I was told upper and lower ball joints and brake pads are the same. But no one can tell me about the back plate dust shields that go behind the rotors. They bolt to the spindles. Are they the same?Somebody please help me !!!

My assumption would be they are the same...... it's basically the diameter of the rotor and backing plates which I don't think would change.

Brake lines are the same. I reused my backing plates as well. The rotor is the same diameter it's just a 1/4" thicker.

Re: 86 Chevy C10 1.000 Rotors vs 1.250

The brake lines are not the same. They might work, but they are different. The block on the end of the brake line where it bolts to the caliper is different. The line for the 1.250 is square on the end. The one for 1.000 is beveled on the corners making it look kinda like a stop sign shape. But I already have the ones that are stop sign shaped, so if they will work I will keep them. My biggest concern was if the dust shields I have that fit the spindles for 1.000 rotors will fit the spindles I am going to order for 1.250 rotors ? Come on, there has got to be more people that know about this.Help me out !!!
