67 ignition switch and bezel install

I've decided to redo the wiring on my truck due to the horrible job the previous owner did. While I'm doing so I decided to redo the ignition. The previous owner installed a tilt column from a later model which meant that the ignition was no longer on the dash. He instead installed a push button in its place. I ordered a whole new setup from LMC with all the correct year model parts. The switch, the spacer, the cylinder, and the bezel. When I went to mock it up I noticed that the distance from the spacer to the bezel was too far, meaning the bezel wouldn't reach the spacer and switch. Now my truck is a 67 and the bezel I ordered shows to be the correct one for 67. The dash hasn't been altered where the ignition was originally. And ideas outside of ordering the 68-72 bezel and seeing if it corrects the issue? If pics are needed for any clarification I can provide.

The small chrome bezel and small spacer are '67 only. The bezel is reproduced but the spacer is not. You probably have a spacer for the '68-'72 trucks.

The first picture shows the '67 only parts and the second picture shows the '68-'72 parts. The '67 spacer can be hard to locate.

Re: 67 ignition switch and bezel install

It turns out I do have the spacer for a 68-72.

That's true and the problem is when LMC is notified about it they just ignore you and keep selling/printing the wrong stuff.....

They're not the only ones. I noticed several vendors at the Portland swap meet with parts labeled that way. You would think that people who only sold Chevy truck parts would know these things.
