Pete, I think the original is on my truck and I've bought a replacement but not yet installed it. I've checked my engine number and it was built February 15th 1972 so I'm assuming my water pump must have been built close to that date as well. Within day or two I'll check the numbers on my water pump and let you know what they are. Are you in hurry for it?

Greg thanks so much. Keep me posted. I'm in no rush at all. Pete

When I was looking for a big block water pump, my friend at the parts store ordered a rebuilt. We had to try twice but believe it or not on the second try we got the perfect date.

I can't look tomorrow, but if you don't find one by Wednesday, I will look.

That's a needle in a hay stack. Thanks Larry. Glad you got the stolen work truck back. ABQ is really bad for car thieves - at or near #1 worst in the country.

I tried searching for info on the casting number pump I took off the motor but got no hits. I'm fairly sure it's not the original pump - the motor is original to the truck.
