Full CPP LS swap kit??

Has anyone used the full CPP with header LS swap kit??

http://www.classicperform.com/Store/...772LS1-FRK.htm

Are the headers any good? Mounts? Crossmember....

What are your thoughts.. I can source one locally for a little less than what it costs new... just didn't know if it was worth it.

Re: Full CPP LS swap kit??

No experience with that particular kit, but I did use their tubular style engine stands (different from the one in that kit - those i've read about issues with header fitment, butt hat shouldnt be a big deal as this kit comes with headers). I like the tubular stands a lot

I'd only go with the kit if you really want to run those headders. The motor mounts can be purchased inexpensively and you do not need an aftermarket transmission cross member (I believe I just moved the stock on back 1" IIRC) unless its for cool factor.

Re: Full CPP LS swap kit??

I and others on this board had serious issues with Cpp tubular mounts and ls enginges , they changed their frame stands {mounts} probably for this reason . I believe those are dougs headers , if they are , they are quality , I have mixed veiws on cpp , their ship time is slooooooow , and the mount issue pissed me off . One of their reps is a member and seems like a good guy .

Good thing about this is it's the new (non tubular) engine perches and yes they are Doug's headers. They guy has the whole kit that he bought a few years ago. So shipping and stuff doesn't bother me cause I can go pick it up today.

Thumbs up Re: Full CPP LS swap kit??

I have the kit installed on my build. Everything mounted up just fine. If you are swapping in a truck motor you will need to mount the perches in the back holes to get the oil pan to clear the cross-member. The headers are Doug Thorely 323Y's and are good quality.
