73-87 exhaust on a 67-72
I have searched but I cannot find an answer to the question: Will a 73-87 exhaust system fit a 67-72? I need a 2.5" system for my '70 SWB but I do not have $500 plus for a system. Local exhaust shops want that for a non-mandrel-bent system. I know I do not NEED mandrel-bent pipes but that is what I want. If anyone has installed the later kit please post!
TIA, Mark

If you have a leaf spring truck you can probably make it work. If you have coils then nope.

Re: 73-87 exhaust on a 67-72
And that is why so many of these coil spring trucks have cheap headers, short pipes and glasspacks with turn downs.
I have a leaf truck and am doing a big block swap using Corvette manifolds. It is going to require a custom exhaust that I will run through the trailing arm crossmemeber. And with me providing mufflers will run about $600. Ouch. But not a lot of choice.

firedemon I will be running 2.5" pipes. The LMC kit is 2.25.

Mike C I will be running mine through the TA xmember also. I also am running a big block. I was going to get the Pypes kit but the outlets on the x-pipe are only 13.5 inches apart and that is too close to run it through the xmember.
