Good thing I removed the cab!

Last weekend we had some severe wind storms. Well, little did I know one of the tree's was rotted. Found out the hard way. Luckily the cab, engine, and front clip have been removed for some time. But it crushed the corner of a near perfect long bed. SO, plans change for this poor truck.

Very sorry to see this. I know you have worked hard on your trucks. Is the frame badly damaged?

Bed is toast, but the frame actually seems to be OK, due to the fact I had removed one of the wheels to use as a spare for another rig I had the frame on cinder block, well the sudden hit from the tree crushed the block and the frame is sitting on the ground on one side and with a tire on the other. Frame may be tweaked now. It's funny, I had planned to put a cab and front clip back on this chassis last year and then purchase a harbor freight tent to cover it with.....glad I didn't go through all that now!

Bummer man! The wind storm was pretty bad. My work lost power about halfway through the day. I was working from home at the time, so we pretty much just shut down for a half day. Sorry to see some of your stuff took some damage!

Thanks man, yeah...it was a friend's truck and he passed it to me just before he passed away. Had plans for the truck in the future. But glad no one was hurt and that it looks to be somewhat OK.
