Thumbs down Thinking of selling both trucks

Not really wanting to sell, but going overseas for at least the next 3 years and just can't stand the idea of them sitting. So I am thinking of asking 4500 for the LWB and 2200 for the stepside. What do you guys think?

I think if I'd have waited a week or so before I bought a truck I would have bought your stepside

$2200 looks like a steal for that stepside....the $4500 looks kinda high for the LWB...

Heading to Turkey for 15 months. Then I am going to try for Germany and that's a 2 year hitch. Thought about taking one but have decided not too. Besides, got a few bills to pay off before I go.

I say keep them all, store them in cali @ a self storage place, and make an allotment so you don't forget to pay the rent.
However, if you were to take ANY of them to Germany, you could get MEGA-BUCKS for one, the germans would follow you down the autobahn and offer you money as soon as you stop long enough for them to get out of there BMW.
Option 3, and the best one if you are set on selling...E-BAY! That willies is worth some pretty good coin, my wife, sister, mom, and my dad were drooling when they saw that, and are all saying it is time for a road trip, but none of them have any money.

Enjoy germany, and if a german chick asks if you'd like them to make you breakfast (as your sitting in a bar at night) think about it before you question them...they want to take you home!

Going to have to remember that one about breakfast Longhorn Man.
I haven't really decided yet, the Willy's is the only one really for sale so far. I change my mind daily on the trucks. I got till next May to decide for sure. Thinking about hauling them to Arkansas and storing them at my relatives place but then it's a burden on them and their garages. Decisions, decisions, decisions. LOL

put some stuff in the gas tank to keep the gas and let it set. or have a really good friend drive it every once in a while. one that understands carbeureted vehicles and doesnt sit there grinding the starter giving it no gas for about 20 minutes (bad experience)

If you decide to store them, I would personally pay for storage in cali. the climate is a bit more forgiving there.

ave the military store them. I know (from personal experience) that they will store at least one of them for you for free. Then strike a deal with the storage place for the other one.

Oh, they'll store it for you. You just have to pay them. And take care of it while its in there. And if you don't pay on time, well...you know how the govt is. Anyway, thats a lot invested already, why get rid of them when you can just store them and come home to them in 3 years? Thats what I did with the 71 when we were in Japan. Just glad I didn't let my Bro-in-law keep it. Yikes!

I'm still in ( 1 1/2 months left ) I know when I was sceduled to go to Japan the Marine Corps provided a place to store my '82. I went to Iraq instead and they stored everyones vehicles that went (if you were single) If you were married like me, you had to provide your own storage.

Well being single, it makes the PCS to Turkey a 15 month remote. That means the Air Force will store one vehicle and personal property for the entire time I am there. I can elect to take one vehicle but will have to pay for storing any other vehicles out of my own pocket. If I store the vehicle while in Turkey they will pay the storage fee. If and when I get orders to Germany, then they stop storing the vehicle due to the length of the tour over there. So decisions, decisions, decisions. Maybe I should take one to Germany and sell it for 2 to 3 times what it's worth, and when I come back buy a nice SWB fleet.
