67-72 buddy buckets in a 73-87?
I have the opportunity to get some 67-72 buddy buckets for $350 in great condition. I was wondering if it is possible to put that seat in my 86 c10?
I also like the 73 low backs with center console, however I prefer the buddy buckets as they seem to bridge the gap more between a bench seat and a bucket seat. I'm not concerned about how comfortable they are as I will be having them bolstered.

You can make anything work with a little engineering I think the seat frame where it mounts to the floor will be way to high as the 68 floor is fairly flat and the 86 cab step up pretty high to clear the gas tank

If the buddy buckets are in great shape as you say. Then buy it and if it don't fit like you want before cutting anything just and sell them and maybe double or triple your money then you can get whatever you want or fits.

Do a search on buddy seat mounts or mounting brackets.....yes some people have done it and some on here made a pattern to make the missing two inside front bracket you need to mount in a later model Squarebodys....some info for you......

I think your better option would be to sell the BBs, as they are bringing a premium and buy the correct buckets for your truck. That is unless you really like the style of the BBs.
