Does the hood fit the fenders good on both sides, in the front, and/or is there a gap between the hood and grill in the center? I have seen a few reproduction hoods that were evidently in the jig wrong when they were welded and there was a pretty good gap between the hood and grille in the center, at the front of the hood. As nicklear36 indicated, pictures might help. A straight on shot of the front grill/hood from a kneeling position would be good. Unless you have the wrong year hood pin there is no reason it shouldn't work. If it is the hood pin from your stock hood then it should bolt right in and work like it did with your original hood.....
