amp gauge
put in a set of aftermarket gauges got the oil/temp hooked up but where do you hook amp gauge at by the way im running a h.e.i. dist. if that matters.thanks

break most any hot wire that is only on when the ignition is on and put the guage in the middle. Ammeter inline, voltmeter between positive and ground.

make sure you put fuse on the guage, nothing worse then having your truck burn to the ground

You will want to make sure that your amp meter will take the expected amperage on the wire you hook to . Also, if it is like the factory meter, (shunt type), it will fry at very low amperage.
