My 1967 C10 Shop truck

Hey all!

I just picked up this 67' a couple weeks ago. stumbled across this on CL and decided it was time for a good Ol' shop truck. I own a custom fabrication business. Overall pretty decent shape for being 50 years old. Did a quick refresh on the drums while I gather disc and suspension components. Hopefully over the next 3-5 months I'll have it where I want it. I'll keep the progress updated as I go!

Looks like a nice truck. What are your suspension plans?

I'm planning on bags. Being that I own a fab shop I can build a bag system cheaper than buying a static kit. Get components from EzAir and go from there.

Not looking to lay frame just lower and I'd prefer that ride over a static system.

BTW.....I love your truck, when googling ideas yours popped up, have it saved on my phone. Mind sharing your setup?

I'm also looking at refeshing the 327 and keep that and the 4-speed. I have either 4.11/4.57 gears in back so I think I might just drop those to a 3.31 so I don;t have to turn 3k at 55mph.

Thanks! I'm basically trying to go as low as I can static. I like bag setups but I'm not in a position where I can swing that right now. When I finish, I will have 2.5" spindles and 4" drop springs up front. In back I will have 4" drop springs, 2" blocks, and 2.5" Z'ed frame.
