suburban tailgate lift support vs. nomad rear window supports

does anyone know if nomad liftgate arms would fit 60's suburban liftgates.
i see some on nomad supports on ebay, they look about the same length as those on my 65, all i would need to do is switch the end brackets from my sub to the nomad arms if the length is close.

the arms i have on my truck now I found in the discount bin of walmarts rv dept. for $2, they were the same length but had right angle brackets on the ends. I removed the right angle bracket and reused the ends from my original arms, they have worked good but are starting to get sloppy and i need to thing about replacing them before they collapse like my originals did.

nomad ones are too short, they will work, but they will not lift the door up all of the way.

Buy 4 of them and weld in the extra length needed.
