Lowered my truck with grunion fabrication air bag suspension kit

I installed a Grunion Fabrication air ride and a front disc conversion also painted the frame with POR-15 and added a train horn since I already had the compressor and air tank for the airbags.
It dropped the body about 7 to 8 inches.
It's not sitting on the floor but it makes a drastic difference in the look of the truck, for a fraction of the price and work.
I am very happy with it.
I also had to relocate the mufflers and changed the exhaust tips.

SS-7 airbags
Gauges and paddles for each bag
Compressor
2-1/2 gallon tank
All necessary hoses, fittings, and hardware
Front and rear Mcgaughy shocks
Mcgaughy drop spindles
Mcgaughy panhard bar
Mcgaughy C notch
Mcgaughy 12" Front Disc Brake Kit; 6x5.5 Bolt Pattern with calipers

See before and after pictures how she sits

Re: Lowered my truck with grunion fabrication air bag suspension kit

Looks sweet. good job. I am doing a 6 inch body drop and a C-Notch on my 78 before bags.
Do you mind me asking how much were the bags/air management components? I am about to pull the trigger and don't want to waste any of my money on bad parts if I can help it.
Thanks,
Wayne

I paid $2000 for mine and $300 for the rotors and calipers.
Go to there website and see what kit you want, mine had all that I mentioned.
Or you can call them and ask for Aaron. I included their website.

Re: Lowered my truck with grunion fabrication air bag suspension kit

I gotta say "I love your color combo". I did a 68 truck last year and sold it as soon as I got it done.
It looks like it is real close in color.
Mine was the factory color for the 68.

Thanks. The guy put a new 502 motor in it and raised the price about 10grand last I heard. Thing rode like an old buckboard.
Worst riding truck I ever owned. Should have got rid of all the 1 ton stuff and went 1/2 ton, but I thought that was the only thing different about it.
anyhow, your truck is awesome.

Re: Lowered my truck with grunion fabrication air bag suspension kit

Question.
I'm new to the group and own a 71 C10.
Mine is lowered with heated springs at moment but wanting to swap to either bags or Hotchkiss 4/6 drop.
How do you like ride of bags? And does it bounce any in corners?
