New sending unit is only about $40-45 bucks, any cheaper than that and I don't think I'd trust it much.

Easy to get side tracked with so much needing attention, just tackle 1 thing at a time, usually what is most important. Emblems would be pretty low on my list at that juncture.

If you have the Deluxe gauge package, you need to check the two 4 amp fuses in the engine bay. There's one on each side. If one or both are blown, or the connection is open, you won't get any action on the ''Charging'' gauge.
How old is the Turn Signal Switch? Replacing the whole assembly under the steering wheel can kill a slew of mean gremlins.
R + R your fuel pump. See what you get.
Have a brake shop check your brakes. RED Light on, is usually air in the lines.
Skip the bling for now.

Re: GREMLENS pt.500000000000

Check all your bulbs behind the dash.
Yes, a pinhole in a defective new fuel pump is a possibility.
To RnR TS/Sw:
1] Obtain Steering Wheel Puller [Some flaps will rent them]
2] Disconnect battery. [or horn will honk in constant ON]
3] Pull off horn cap. Unscrew 3 screws holding tin horn cap retaining cup. Note what
direction is Up on horn spring disc. [I mark the UP side with an X in sharpie ink.]
4] Pull 3/4'' nut off from wheel/strng column. If front tires are straight to front, note if
there's a mark at 12 o'clock showing alignment thru steering column shaft and
strng wheel. If not mark 12 o'clock w/ chisel.
5] Thread 2 [1/2'' head] bolts into holes in Wheel. Puller will have a center bolt. Once
wheel bolts are set even, start turning the center bolt. The steering wheel will
gradually pull off.

Now that you have the wheel off you can see the Switch. Disconnect it under the dash. Remove the tin plate from under the column. Pull the cancelling cam. Pull screws holding switch on. Unscrew turn signal lever. Thread wiring pigtail from under dash thru column as you pull out switch assembly.
Reassembly is reverse.

This was from memory, so I may have left out some key feature[s].
Adapt, overcome and survive.

Fuel pump will blow bubbles into fuel in a clear funnel on the carb side, so its sucking, yet to test the tank side, i almost think the line had a clog in it, as when i blew into it it was very rough, then it cleared up. no fuel leaks when poured into the fuel line. think a clogged line is was my problem on that.
