The order of things...??

Well, the engine is back in the 66 AND running, so I'm going to start slapping on fenders, grills and other stuff on the front of the old girl. Any order that others have done, more importantly, what NOT to do first as sheet metal gets bolted back on up in the fender/front grille area?

correct me if I am wrong but I would say cor support, inner fenders, grill surround, outer fenders and then hood. I would guess that you should leave everything a little loose until it is all lined up.

Re: The order of things...??

I did mine last year as inner fenders, core support, fenders, grille piece and lastly the hood.

Did an LS swap and pulled the front clip this year and I put the inner fenders and core support on as one unit and the fenders and grille piece as one unit. Both worked ways worked well for me.

One thing I didn't do when I did my LS swap was cleanup and paint the firewall, wish I would have done it then. Clean clean clean as you go though. Power spray your frame.
