MAnual oil guage needle position
My manual gauge needle reads half way when not running ( or even connected) and then goes off the dial when running to the point of not being able to see the needle, . Pushing it back to the low stop it just springs back to vertical (half way) Is there a way to calibrate to get it back to read nil at stop ,that way it should read half three quarters running. Or can I take the needle off and reposition it . Gauge is just hooked up to move car while I wait for dash parts it reads the same even if out of car
Thanks in advance rob |

Could be one of three things, The needle was removed to put the white face on it, the needle was forced to the right when the face was put on it, or it was over-pressurized. I can't believe it would have been over-pressurized that much unless someone put an air nozzle on it though. How about a picture of the back? LockDoc

Yeah, I was wanting to see the Bourdon tube, or bulb as some folks call it. The pic would have to be of the back from directly above it with it laying on it's face.

Re: MAnual oil guage needle position
That would be the curved brass piece. It looks good, so I would say remove the needle and put it where it needs to go.
