Holy Cow, WHAT happened to this truck?
On Hemming's is this listing of a VERY damaged Chevy.
https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds...0/1944809.html How the front bumper survived without a dent - is amazing, there is very little of this truck that is not damaged INCLUDED the vin plate...maybe a few rims

Hit from behind and driven into another vehicle but even the starter got torn out. Curious how the driver would have made out.

Re: Holy Cow, WHAT happened to this truck?
bend the frame like a horseshoe as well, the interior picture looks pretty bad based on the steering wheel.

Re: Holy Cow, WHAT happened to this truck?
Wow, unless it has some killer drivetrain I don't quite see how someone can see over $1000 value there. I bought a 66 a few years ago with a bent front frame for $235. Sold the cab for $300. Gave the motor/trans. to a member here I never met cause he needed one.

And they say "we don't need 3 point seat belts in these old trucks".

Re: Holy Cow, WHAT happened to this truck?
All I can think about is the severity of the hit that caused that amount of damage. That had to have been one heck of an impact.

Re: Holy Cow, WHAT happened to this truck?
There was a bad chain reaction accident near me this morning where a car ended up partially under a box delivery van...the grill and front bumper looked pristine, but the hood folded up against the windshield as it caught the rear step.

Re: Holy Cow, WHAT happened to this truck?
I spotted this truck while roaming the wrecking yard in ft worth. Took a quick video of it. The wheels and tires made it out unharmed. They were sitting by the front counter for sale. They wanted $300 for them. When I got there looked like someone had taken the mirrors and parts of the dash. https://youtu.be/Sc7i6V0A-aI

Re: Holy Cow, WHAT happened to this truck?
That had to be a 50+ mph hit! Or a loaded truck. Looks like the gas tank bent the seat frame in your video.

Re: Holy Cow, WHAT happened to this truck?
front frame horns might still be good... and the back glass... but yikes.
Makes a good case for a collapsing steering column.
