Walbro fuel pump tip...

I thought I would share my recent experience with mounting a Walbro 255 inline in my 72 K10 6.0 swap...stock in cab tank....I used Moroso rubber mounts to isolate the pump from the frame and it's very quiet. I used the exact same pump on my '62 5.3 swap without the mounts and it was loud... definitely worth the money.

Re: Walbro fuel pump tip...

Mine came with a rubber/foam condom thingy that always kept it fairly quite. I imagine just pump housing straight to metal bracket would be noisy since nothing is eating any of that vibration.

Re: Walbro fuel pump tip...

Here's a couple of pictures.
Starts with stock hard piping>then valve>then ford ranger filter (had it laying around)>then pump>then 100 micron filter.
I highly recommend the shutoff valve to service the filters...when I LS swapped my '62, I had lots of dirt get in the filter even though the tank looked clean. I guess the constant return line stirs it up.

Burb99..does your setup use the return rail from engine for your bypass?

Re: Walbro fuel pump tip...

Thanks for the pics. good idea on the valve. You recommend a specific part or is that brass fitting anyone can get from Ace HD or lowes?
