New truck

Just picked up a '72 GMC with 5 lug disks up front and leaf springs in the rear (out of a barn...its kinda a mess).

In the process of tearing the truck down for the rebuild. I've ordered the LS376/480 (LS3 w/ 495 hp) and the T56 so I'll be starting a build blog soon. I'll have plenty of questions.......

Im wanting a 4.5" - 6" drop and want to get all my chassis modifications taken care of before it goes off to blasting / powdercoat. I'm thinking 2.5" spindles and 2" springs up front and a flip kit out back.

Couple starter questions for you pro's...
1. Any suggestions on which spindles and springs I should use?

2. What about the flip kit? I'm sure it'll need to be notched, which brands have you guys had good luck with? I'm thinking I'll order new leafs as well, brand?

I appreciate any and all help!
