67-68 dog dish cap question.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1494939015
Has anyone modified a clip style 67-8 dog dish cap to a nub style cap? Looks to be a galvanized ring inserted. Just wondering if the ring could be trimmed or removed. I never paid too much attention to the clip style caps before. Now that I have a pair just thinking they could be modified to nub style.

Re: 67-68 dog dish cap question.
That's an interesting thought. From that photo, there doesn't appear to be enough material left on the cap itself to form the same sort of rolled edge that the nub style caps have if you remove the ring. My guess is that you would not get a good bite on the nub and they would fall off. I am curious to see what others think.
