WTB: 67-72 Hickey Roof Rack Bars
I recently bought a Hickey Roof Rack for my 72 Gmc Jimmy. However, it is missing two of the 3 bars. I am wondering if anyone may have some that they would like to sell. Also, does anyone know if there were any installation instructions that came with the rack when you bought them from hickey? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: WTB: 67-72 Hickey Roof Rack Bars
The bars are just steel tubing, at least that is what mine came with. Should be easy to source that out at your local metal supply. Use the one you have as a template.
I used pictures of the rack mounted on other Blazers to get mine situated on my top. I have attached a picture from the Hickey Sidewinder winch ad, and another picture from the Hickey catalogue that show the approximate locations of the two stanchions. It should be noted that, at least for the set I have, the two stanchions are not interchangeable. One definitely fits better up front, and the other definitely fits better in the rear, as the roof contour is slightly different between the two locations. A bunch of trial fitting will tell you which one should go where. |
