C-20 length for transport
Can somebody give me the length of a C-20 long bed bumper to bumper?
Also, does anybody have a good referral for a transporter from East to West coast? I am getting quotes now but would like to use somebody tried and tested by you all. Thanks in advance. |

Re: C-20 length for transport
My 2 cents is that you post some of the quotes that you got and how it's being transported (open or enclosed) and how many days before it's delivered. If your truck is in pristine condition I would suggest that you go with one of the best transporters out there and if it's a project or something that need some work to go with open. If you go with open transport that takes many days to be delivered, be sure to do a LOT of research as the potential for damages is greater as usually they will deliver your truck to a facility and another will pick it up until final destination (usually delivered at night and pick up during the day). For a vehicle that I bought many years ago, I had it transported from Cali to Alabama via Inter-City but it was fully enclosed and it remained on the truck from pickup to destination. The service was excellent and they even called a couple of times to let me know where they were.

Re: C-20 length for transport
I just shipped a Bonneville Brougham Convertible (as big as a C20) from Florida to Seattle, about as far as you can go in the continental US. I used reliable carriers and the car arrived without a problem.
That's not to say they have great tracking and communication, but about half way through the driver left his cell number so (even though I didn't need to) I could then find out where the car was and so on.
