Hi guys!
The pictures show my new column and PS Box.
I mount a new rag joint and my old couple on the box. The shaft comes with the
column and I let it run trough the old shaft.
The spring and washer is from my old steering.
I don't know if this is working, but it looks right, or?
Should I drill the two holes on the shaft and fastened it?
My question is simply: Does this make any sense to you?
Need feedback.

Re: Pictures of steering column

That is a collapsible shaft in the case of a collision and it's supposed to look just like that.

How about the 2 holes? Should I drill holes trough the shaft, or?

So it's drivable?

Yes it's drive able. And no, don't drill holes and fasten it. If anything take it back off and put a little bit of grease on that shaft so in case of a collision the shaft collapses instead of staying put and injuring you.

Some say that
intermediate shaft and coupler only will be used on manuel steering, not power steering.
Can anyone verify that?

Ok! What do think about the spring and washer I mount on the top of the shaft?
Should I put it on the end of the shaft instead?
Now the shaft is lose inside both the column and the intermediate shaft.

Re: Pictures of steering column

I believe the spring is intended to hold pressure on the bearing cup, bottom of column, spring, washer, clamp.
