Brake drum / wheel quandry

I found a donor '84 C10 and moved the front end over to my '68 for the disc brakes. I also moved the 12 bolt rear axle over to get the 5x5 wheel pattern. Unfortunately when I tried to fit my 15" wheels I found out the wheels won't clear the brake drums.

I know the axle is wider and I anticipated clearance in with the discs up front, but I didn't realize the rear drums would be an issue. Has this been an issue for anyone else? and if so what is the best solution. Thank you.

Wow, that sucks. Do you think that truck was a heavy half or something? Not sure if that was still around in 84. What is the diameter of the new brake drums?

After more inspection - here is where it's hitting. Anyone seen this before? Does anyone care to guess what dumb*** sent his wheels to paint before he slid them on the axle?

I suppose you got the wider drums (2 3/4 inch) with the balance weights that contact some rims.
You might need a wheel spacer to clear them.
