When did they go from Power Steering center link, to PS Box?
When did they make the change on Power Steering, going from the hydraulic ram on the drag link, to having it self-contained in the power steering box?

My guess would be during the '68 model year.
Wasn't that the year that the frame got a "dimple" in the side for the bigger P/S box? http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=144976

Thanks guys! There's a frame for sale in Atlanta with that set-up on it, and it's later than '60-66, so I was wondering.

The intergral power steering box was first used in '68 in the C series. The K series did not receive them until '69.

Re: When did they go from Power Steering center link, to PS Box?
Cool. Thanks.
Found a '67-'68 K-series in the junkyard today, with the hydraulic ram version. Is the round bump in the frame the only thing keeping a power steering box from bolting on without an adapter bracket? -Brad
