Starter Wire routing?

I have had the motor out of my 72 402 for awhile got it back in and I cant remember the exact route for the solenoid wires.Do go down along the valve cover to the front of engine and if so do they go through the motor mount or just go down along the frame? They seem awful close to the exhaust.Pictures would be a big help.

They go from the starter up behind the engine to the plastic wire gutter at the top of the firewall and across to the firewall plug. If you have a points distributor the yellow wire from the "R" terminal on the solenoid drops down out of the gutter to the coil.

You are thinking of a squarebody route.
