Brake problem
1996 CHEVY CK 2500 3/4 TON LONG BED EXTRA CAB 454 CHEVY TRUCK
I found out that I had a brake line rubbing on the inner fender, Friday on the way to an appointment the hard line blew first thing this morning I went to a local salvage yard and pulled the hard line that I needed, I installed said hard line and bled the brakes. Now when I depress the pedal the pedal goes to the floor and the power steering pump whines, before all this happened the power steering pump would whine when the steering wheel was turned and the wheel was hard to turn I assumed the power steering pump was bad but now i'm not so sure what should I do ?? thank you

Re: Brake problem
The two systems are separate (unless you have hydro boost) so I don't see one causing the other.
If pedal is going to the floor there has to air in the lines or a leak somewhere. It is possible your leak is a bad master or a wheel cylinder failed but doubtful it happened at this time. Last edited by Kudzupatch; 06-13-2017 at 01:05 PM. |
