Paint FORMULAS online anywhere?
Does anyone know where you can actually find the formulas for factory colors, or would they all be proprietary to the paint maker?
For example, GM Matador Red has too much maroon for my liking, and if I scan it on the PC and sample it, I can see it has a lot of blue. But ideally I could just look up the paint code and see for myself. Then I could look for similar colors that have less blue, that sort of thing. Or make my own! I worked in paint stores for a long time, but the color formulas were always in the back...

I found this site and: http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcod...=Matador%20Red this site. Matador red was a different shade in different years. |
