help questions about reassembling the dash
hey guys, its been a while since i took my truck apart, and i am starting to try and put it back together. i have a few questions about the dash of the truck.
1. how do you tell which is left and right on the defroster outlets at the base of the windshield and which way to turn them? 2. what kind of screws hold the instrument cluster in place? do they go in from the front or the back? i am gonna add more questions to this thread as i can think of them so if you know this kinda stuff , check back and chime in. thanks, tony

Re: help questions about reassembling the dash
On my '72 -- if yours is different, post your year for better info....
1. Drivers vent is round, pass. vent is oval. Looking at them from the top, each one should be installed with 2 vanes aimed towards the side windows, one vane toward the center of the dash. 2. Cluster screws go in from the front, 2 on top, 2 on the sides, and 2 on the bottom. They are 7/8" long and have a rounded phillips head. Bottom 2 are black and the other 4 are chrome.
