Question: mounting inner fenders

Have a '65 c10 and mounting the inner fenders. At the bottom where the inner fender goes on the bracket that sticks out from the cab, does the inner fender go on the inside of that bracket or, on the outside? I looked at my assembly manual and, several other sites but, unable to locate definitive answer. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Question: mounting inner fenders

You will see the rounded bracket that extends from the firewall on the inside of the engine compartment. Meaning, the inner fender attaches to the outside (outer) part of the bracket. The head of the bolt will fit into the cup of the bracket and the threads will extend into outer tire wells. Im sure I have the same bracket in mind as you going from memory. Lemme know if you need pics.

Re: Question: mounting inner fenders

The inner fender goes on the outside of that bracket on the cab, and the bolt installs from the outside as well. There should be a rubber grommet with a steel sleeve in the center, that fits into the hole in the inner fender.

Re: Question: mounting inner fenders

If you no longer have the rubber gasket/grommet, you can buy replacements at many of the truck supply places.
