Mirrors

Howdy yall I ran into a problem this past week on my 71 C10. i was driving to work and my driver side mirror bracket broke... The problem is these mirrors are very rare from what i can tell as they are aftermarket mirrors put on by the dealer back in 71. Does anybody know where i could find a set EXACTLY like it or have some for sale?? Thanks in Advance!

Re: Mirrors

That's a ''West Coast Sr'' style mirror. They can still be found I think. But if you only need a new glass mirror, any competant local glass shop can cut you new glass and you'll be good to go. Do both sides so they match. They can also do tinted glass if you live in a desert area like me, with hot glaring sunshine during daylight.

I'm not sure exactly what they are, but I don't think they're Seniors. At least they're not the GM "West Coast Sr." mirror.

Only Juniors were ever available stainless. Seniors were always painted from the factory.

Re: Mirrors

I can't tell what broke from your pic, but if the brackets are anything like those on my west coast jrs, they seem like they could easily be fabricated by someone with a tubing bender / crimper.
I searched for quite awhile until i found some new brackets on e-bay. I still need the "C" loop and am thinking of getting someone to bend me a pair.
I also found new glass for my mirror heads on e-bay, $9 each.

Well the mirrors in the OP's pic are bigger than WC Jrs, so I guessed. He does state they were dealer-aftermarket.[ My WC Jrs are white.]
Also I took the OP's wording to mean broken mirror glass, but he does not specify exactly what's broken. So who knows?
