1951 Need help starting.
I am getting to the point in my project i want to hear the motor start to get me excited. It has the Stock s10 tbi 4.3 and harness. On key up i dont have power to the fuel system coming off pin b2 or a1 on ecm. I jumped the relay to kick the pump and nothing. Is there a sensor or switch that would turn things off things on ecm. I also dont have power at a couple more pins that i thought i should. I should mention that i had to chenge ecm due to accidentally throwing it away with the cab when i junked it. I bought a reman part# 88999152 per vin at chevy. Any help is appreciated.

Okay now i have power to ecm i dont have fuel pump prime on key. If i jump the relay truck runs. Is there an input the ecm is looking for to get the fuel prime before it starts. I see theres an input for park nuetral on the ecm. Does that input stop the fuel pump relay or stop the truck from cranking all together? Brake switch possibly?

Re: 1951 Need help starting.
Ended up being a wire in the back side of the firewall fuse block. I just bypassed the bad spot in the loom and wired straight from the relay to the harness. I also cleaned the ground on the water pump. Starts right up.

Nothing like knowing what it won't do,identifying what's not happening and diving and finding and fixing the problem yourself. That is the way to trouble shoot a problem. One can easily be derailed by the opions of others and head down a long road to no where. It is not easy to diagnosis problems like this by reading and not seeing, so that is why there was silence in response to your post. You did a good job of tackling it and fixing it.keep it up.
