Ok.... This is wierd ... Horn honks, but not touching the wheel.. What tha...??
OK you diagnostic geniuses...
I rarely select low gear, until yesterday.... ( '88 GMC C2500) Why the heck does the horn honk when I put the shift lever in 1st????? How could that possibly happen?? I'm at a loss.... ( kinda funny though)... But weird !!

i had my horn go on and stay on a few years ago when turning into work, smacked the button a few times and eventually had to unplug it, looked over everything put it back together and never happened since, maybe just pop the button off and shift it into 1st see if its twisting the column so the ground wire at the button is touching something.
