2nd Best Day of my life and the Worst
Well Monday my wife and I had our first child Rose Mary Gardner who was 8 pounds 7 oz and 21 and 1/4 inches long. Proudest moment outside of getting married to my wife.
Two hours before my dad past away after a struggle with illness for the last month. Tomorrow I preach his funeral. God gave me the blessing of my child to help me through this very rough day.

Hang in there Primered. Trust me, I know you will miss him, but he is at peace now. I think youll find that although they didnt meet on this earth, the two of them will have a special bond. My nephew and dad did. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Stay strong, I believe these things happen for a reason.
Maybe your Father was needed to assure all went well with the birth of your daughter. I'll tell my two girls this story tonight, and ask them to pray for you. Erik

Wow. Like dinnut said, what a day of completely opposite emotions. I'm very sorry for your loss - especially since it clouded what should have been one of your happiest days. At least you have a precious little creature to help keep you strong.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Mike
